stop and be still
as many spiritual leaders remind us:
“it takes no effort to be still…
when your mind is still, you have no past, no name, no relationships, no attachments, no spiritual attainment. All that remains is the presence of beingness with itself”
but… how often do we abandon ourselves from being present in life through repeated excuses, stories, deflections, denials, daily routines, automated behaviours and beliefs, etc?
in the present moment, we always have an opportunity to change our narrative right down to the cellular level: cellular to tissue, tissue to organ, organ to systemic narratives, etc.
however, can we maintain the presence in movement?
can we remain present when in motion, in thought, in feeling and sensation?
can we bring our meditative practice into movement and engagement?
can we maintain our presence when relating to others and the world?
it is possible to step back from our current stress and fast-paced life and discover the inner potential that arises when we stop and rest in our innate resources.
it is possible to cultivate the capacity to hold presence in the direct experience of movement. A place where movement turns meditative, fluid, and deeply nurturing.
it is possible to find an inner authority that makes it easier for us to respond fluidly, creative and effectively, from a more abundant place in ourselves to challenges in the world. ... our fluid body becomes fluid living.
this 4 day immersion will use meditation, movement, sound and sacred writings, to welcome us into intimate contact with our most primary level of awareness, our senses - a deeper more ancient system of knowing, long before the prefrontal cortex developed, even before the limbic system. It will give us the confidence to meet and open ourselves to the 'moment to moment' unfolding of life itself.
it is an invitation into the journey of discovering the life force itself; the life force that unfolds as a refreshing resource and continuous renewal of ourselves.
further to personal bodily, psychological and meditative development, this workshop will also be of inspiration to professionals such as Body therapists, Physiotherapists, Yoga teachers, Pilates instructors, as well as Psychotherapists, Psychologists and others working with Mindfulness and Embodied Awareness
